Guided by the Wild
The plants themselves, along with the help of my beloved dog Sampson, led me into wild places where I entered into deep relationship with plant wisdom.
When Sampson first came to me, I was working in a career that kept me tethered to a computer for long hours. My dog was fiercely determined not to waste his life indoors and had no patience for sitting in front of a screen all day.
I came to know that he and the plants were also aware that I was disconnected from my true self at the time.
Sampson frequently led me out to windy cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean and deep into redwood groves. Out in those wild places, I found that different plants made themselves known to me on different days.
Some of them effectively held a mirror up to me and showed me places where I was holding onto old emotional wounds or stagnant energy. Others stepped forward to bring me into their world, to teach me about themselves and how to listen to their voices.
Through herbalism studies and my direct relationship with plants, I came to know the plants as ancestors and wise elders.
I realized that their ability to provide us with nourishment and medicine for our physical bodies is only one facet of their being. We have largely been taught to see only the surface, rather than the vast living web of consciousness in which we are held. That shift in perspective fundamentally altered my understanding of myself and my earth walk.
I began my professional career in physics, studying our physical world and greater universe. I then worked within our human-created structures for many years as a lawyer.
Being in relationship with the plants and realizing how much guidance and wisdom is around us all the time felt like drawing back the curtain on a world of immense wonder.
While many indigenous cultures remain closely connected to and in right relationship with the land spirits and plant elders, much of the Western world has lost that connection. I am very grateful to the plants for inviting me back into relationship.
After living in the analytical worlds of physics and law, I spent years studying herbalism, aromatic medicine, shamanic practices, psychopomp, animal language, animistic dreamwork, reiki and various other forms of energy healing. I have been privileged to study with Anna Dorian, Jean Schneider, Ariella Daly, Sajah Popham, and Cara Gubbins among others.
Now, I offer plant spirit healing, intuitive medicine, and dreamwork to help you experience your true self and step into a state of connection and wonder.
Heather has a really unique gift. Her work and voice are elevating and beautiful. Working with her restores the wonder of life that I want to feel all the time but that can be easily lost in our busy world. The world needs her kind of healing at this time.

Heather is impeccable, a true and gifted healer. her dedication to her craft is second to none, and her work is so filled with joy! one of the most wonderful things I love about working with heather is how much love and care she pours into every detail and interaction. You, your dreams and the plant people you work with will be so well held in heather’s care. she is a living jewel, and an extraordinary teacher, practitioner, and healer. - Anna, the Dreaming Otter
I had the honor of doing dreamwork with Heather over the course of a year. Heather is a deeply intuitive woman. She is the rare healer who has an intimate and authentic relationship with the other side, the other world, with the beings of the many realms. I completely trusted all the different pathways that she was connected to, all the ones that brought her Wisdom. I felt that she always received my dreams with both hands and with her tender heart. I could feel the decades of her personal practice. I left our sessions feeling more connected to myself and to the vast, mysterious world that holds me. I consider this a precious gift and a blessing. - Jenny T., San Francisco, CA
