Celebrate Summer Solstice With the Oak Tree

The Oak is often called the King of the Forest. At the summer solstice, the Oak Tree is thought to be at his strongest, before the light of summer begins to wane.

In Celtic tradition, the word for Oak, Duir, means door. Oak has long been understood as a doorway between the light part of the year and the dark. Between the visible and invisible worlds, between spirit and form. Fittingly, Oak embodies a Jupiter archetype. In alchemy tradition, Jupiter is the gateway for spirit to come into form. In that way, Oak can help us connect with our own light, and the way our light wants to be expressed in the world of form.

We meet on the summer solstice, when light reaches its fullness in the northern hemisphere. In our guided meditation, we will experience a reflection of our own self, our own light and our own magic from Oak.

Connecting with Oak may bring:

A renewed sense of self;

Clarity of purpose;

Connection with ancestral wisdom; and

The feeling of being held in in immense compassion.

Whether you are meeting oak for the first time or deepening an existing relationship, you are welcome. Experience the light of the solstice oak.
